The most prominent feature of the Lay Z Spa Ibiza Airjet is its stylish square design, which helps this inflatable hot tub to fit snuggly in smaller outdoor spaces. The square interior also promotes socialising inside the tub, with plenty of room for up to 6 adults to recline in peace.
As one of the most affordable hot tubs in this brand’s innovative range, the Ibiza is popular with first-time buyers, so if you’re set on a square style hot tub and like the sound of Lay Z Spa’s premium features, this might be the perfect inflatable hot tub for you.
Who said hot tubs are only for the summer? The Lay Z Spa Ibiza Airjet includes a premium rapid heating system that can reach a maximum water temperature of 40 degrees Celsius within 6-12 hours of installation.
Thanks to its insulated cover and Duraplus lining, this high-quality hot tub has excellent heat retention capabilities, so hot tubbers can enjoy heating times of as little as 1-2 hours, even during the coldest months of the year.
The Lay Z Spa Ibiza’s new and improved airjet massage system can provide an intensive full body massage thanks to an excellent array of bubble jets placed around the entire perimeter of the hot tub’s cushioned floor.
The entire massage system is fully adjustable via the digital display panel on the side of the hot tub, with simple controls and a built-in energy-saving timer to help you keep on top of your energy usage during every soothing soak.

The Lay Z Spa Ibiza does not feature wi-fi controls as standard, but there is an adjustable digital pump with wi-fi capabilities that can be purchased from the manufacturer, which will work with this model.
The Ibiza does not come with any installed lighting, but Lay Z Spa do make several floating lights and accessories that are compatible with this model and can be purchased directly from their website.
The Lay Z Spa Ibiza can accommodate up to 6 average-sized adults in its reasonably spacious interior. However, we feel this hot tub really shines when that capacity is lessened to around 4-5 people.
The square style design does help this hot tub to feel a little roomier than comparably sized models, but we do think that 6 fully grown adults might struggle to squeeze in at once.
Featuring a secure inflatable lid and a weather-proof cover with safety lock clips, the Ibiza can be fully sealed when not in use so that no children or pets run the risk of falling into the water.
Alongside these considerations, all Lay Z Spa hot tubs include a ground fault detection system and an internal RCD unit. These electronic safety systems will automatically cut the power to your hot tub if any faults are detected within Ibiza’s wiring.
Thanks to its supportive Duraplus lining and spacious square design, the Ibiza hot tub is very comfortable to relax in on lazy afternoons, provided that you’re not trying to squeeze more than 5-6 adults into the water. Its also extremely sturdy due to the weight of the tub.
Once the massaging jets are up and running, you’ll find this hot tub incredibly relaxing. However, if you’re planning on spending longer than 4-5 hours in the bubbles, you might want to look into purchasing some additional seating for around £10-£20 per 2 seats.
Most Lay Z Spa hot tubs cost around £7-£10 per week to run, though, given the smaller capacity of the Ibiza, we think it’s an affordable hot tub option, so you’ll be able to keep your energy usage towards the lower end of this scale.
By using the energy-saving timer and keeping an eye on the power of the air jets, we’ve heard of Ibiza owners spending as little as £4-£6 per week on their energy costs.
You should also factor in the cost of maintaining your hot tub. The filter cartridge will need to be replaced regularly. The Chemconnect dispenser will need to be topped up even during storage, though bestway Lay Z Spa often includes a free chemical starter pack with purchases directly from their website.
This page explains a lazy spa running cost and what you can expect to pay each month through electricity, chemicals and more.
All current Lay Z Spas include an excellent heating system that can warm the water up to 40 degrees Celsius within around 6-12 hours of installation.
If you store your Ibiza hot tub with the inflatable lid and cover firmly sealed, this model will retain its heat very well, allowing for super-fast heating times of as little as 1-2 hours year-round.
Any Lay Z Spa that features this many air jets will make a considerable amount of noise when the pump is operating at full power, though this can be easily reduced by adjusting the power level and the timer on the hot tub’s control panel.
Further considerations can be made by placing your Ibiza hot tub on an insulated ground mat and positioning it in a sheltered area of the garden. Although as long as you’re not running the jets late into the night, you shouldn’t have too many problems with noise complaints.
Ibiza’s built-in freeze shield will protect your hot tub by automatically applying additional heating if the internal sensors detect a temperature below 6 degrees Celsius.
This allows the Ibiza to function incredibly well during the winter months and ensures that your Lay Z Spa will not suffer any damage from water freezing within the pipes and the pump, provided that the freeze shield remains powered overnight.
The Ibiza is the most affordable hot tub in a square style design that Lay Z Spa currently produce. Considering its reasonably spacious interior and many premium features, we think this model offers excellent value for money.
If this model is still a little out of your price range, we suggest checking several suppliers during the off-season; premium models like the Ibiza can often be found at a heavily discounted price during periods of low demand.
The standard warranty for Lay Z Spas is 12 months on the pump and 6 months on the inflatable lid and cover; this can be increased to 24 months and 12 months, respectively, by registering your purchase on the brand’s official website.
Lay Z Spa also hosts a support team through a direct phone line on their website, staffed by industry professionals who will assist with any queries you may have.
The reviews of the Lay Z Spa Ibiza score an average of 4.6/5 and back up our point that this is one of the most popular hot tubs currently available for friends and families. Many of the other inflatable spa reviews don’t score as well as this model across the board.
If you’re looking for a high-quality square style Lay Z Spa model, the Ibiza Airjet will be perfect for you; it’s packed with great features and offers more than enough space for couples and small families to stretch out and recline.
The build quality is excellent, and the air jet system is second to none. In our opinion, the Ibiza is a perfect choice for first-time buyers that want to save a little money compared to other Lay Z Spa options but still purchase an unapologetically premium model.
The Paris is comparable to the Ibiza Airjet in almost every sense, with the same number of air jets and a similar maximum capacity. However, the circular design allows slightly more water when filled to 70%.
Unlike the Ibiza, it comes with a built-in LED lighting system, so if you're looking for an eye-catching spa to light up the garden, you might want to spend the extra money on this model. It's here for our review of the Lay Z Spa Paris.
This WAVE Spa model is a little smaller than the Ibiza and features far fewer air jets at only 95, but it is considerably less expensive than any of Lay Z Spa's current models.
The stone-look design of the outer shell is reasonably stylish, though this is probably the only aspect in which the WAVE Spa Rome may be more appealing than the Ibiza hot tub.
You’ll be pleased to hear that the Ibiza Airjet features a super simple setup with no professional installation or tools required. It should take around 5 minutes to inflate the main body with the included pump, then you’ll just need to fill the interior with water which will take approximately 1-2 hours on average.
The initial heating time will be somewhere between 6-12 hours, but we suggest filling the Ibiza Airjet with warm water from your hose, as this will drastically cut down on that initial estimate!
In terms of square style hot tubs from this industry-leading brand, the Ibiza Airjet is a brilliant choice, it’s incredibly affordable for first time buyers and still includes many of Lay Z Spa’s fantastic premium features.
The compact square style design allows this spa to make the most of smaller outdoor spaces, and the inclusion of Lay Z Spa’s new and improved freeze shield means you can enjoy relaxing in the Ibiza no matter how cold it is outside.
The Ibiza Airjet offers great value for money, and a high degree of usability, so we definitely recommend this Lay Z Spa model to any small families or couples that are thinking of purchasing their first premium inflatable spa.
